At Walker, we support the local community whenever possible. We do this to show our great appreciation for the community in which we have grown our business.

Santa Claus Parade

Walker Drilling Ltd. has been a proud partner in supporting the local Scouts in the Barrie Santa Claus Parade for 5 years. Floats are provided by Walker Drilling and decorated by the youth in scouting programs and Walker Drilling employees.

Charity Golf Events

Several times a year, several of our management and employees participate in charity golf events to benefit local charities and associations. Some notable examples include:

Essa Township Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Society
Donaleigh's Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Gilda’s Club of South Simcoe Muskoka support group for cancer patients
St Margaret's Charity Golf Tournament benefiting St Margaret of Scotland Anglican Church

Team Sponsorships and Donations

Walker Drilling is proud to sponsor a number of teams and events. Our sponsorship of community teams and events reflects our appreciation of the communities in which we do business, and our desire to have a positive effect on the members of our communities.

Sponsorship of the Candlelighters Simcoe Dragonboat Racing Team supporting families with children and teens that have been diagnosed with cancer. Events are designed to positively impact and improve the quality of life for children fighting cancer.
Sponsoring employees' children in Jump Rope for Heart benefitting the Heart and Stroke Foundation
Sponsoring riders in The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefitting Canadian Cancer Society
Donations made to Sick Kids Hospital to create colouring and activity books for patients.
