Statistics show that new and inexperienced workers are far more likely to be injured on the job than experienced employees.
New workers in their first 4 weeks of work are 4 times more likely to be injured than at any other time during their employment.
Our new workers are given an extensive orientation when they are first hired, and supervisors and managers are expected to watch them closely and be prepared to guide them as they learn, and be available to answer their questions. We want to ensure that all of our new workers know their employment rights and the basics of keeping safe on the job BEFORE they start work. By taking the time to start new workers off right, we are actively trying to reduce the occurrence of injuries and accidents involving new workers.
